This is our ideal image of aquarium tank, because the Nature Aquarium layout is a piece of living where an ecosystem inhabits, and its beautiful aquascape decorated by colorful aquatic plants is expanding infinitely in your imagination. We have been photographing many aquarium layout pictures, and even the silicon lines of the aquarium could not be tolerated as it blocked the image of the aquascape. Observing the aquascape objectively, we felt such a point stood out. Normal aquarium tank usually had black or blue frames, and the silicon was thickly applied for connecting the glass. We found a big gap between such a normal aquarium tank and an ideal aquarium tank.
Cube Garden Superior was produced from our wish to commercialize what was necessary for a beautiful Nature Aquarium layout. We used a German-made tempered glass and come up with an idea of connecting the glass panels directly on another without using any silicon. The production of 60x30x36cm size aquarium tank is only made possible by expertise of craftsmen, and each piece is produced carefully. Because they are all hand-made, each connection part has a little distortion; here we can find a touch and warmth similar to the one found in the glass craftworks.
In Japan , we have a tradition of keeping some goldfish in a glass bowl from the Edo period (1603-1867). Hand-made goldfish bowl is ornamented with unique edge decorations, colored frames and cat's paw-style legs, and here we can find Japanese aesthetic sensibility. Such a decorated goldfish bowl may represent people's wish to keep the livings in a beautiful container. But the aesthetic sensibility may have been slipped away from our memory in the modern society where utility is considered most important. The Aquarium tank should not be just a container keeping the plants and fish.
Cube Garden Superior was released in 1994 as the ultimate concept aquarium, without using aquarium frames and silicon. Its style was described as "cube cut from the water container", and Cube Garden Superior broadened the layout design possibility. While a normal 60cm aquarium tank was sold around a few thousand yen, Cube Garden Superior was priced at JPY250,000. It was accepted by many hobbyists that Cube Garden Superior symbolized ADA 's approach to commercialize the products we wish to realize. Following such product concept, Cube Garden series aquarium tank was released as dissemination model. A Simple design aquarium tank built by silicon connections without any frame became possible by the high production technique and quality of the silicon. We set the warranty period of 3 years, while the other aquarium tank have only 1 year warranty period. Now, many aquarium manufacturers are marketing such frameless aquariums, but it goes without saying that release of the Cube Garden series gave a great influence on population of the frameless aquarium. Cube Garden series became a new standard of the aquarium, and it, indeed, embodies ADA 's sprit of product development.

Cube Garden Mist R type
This is a new type of Cube Garden produced with a sand-blasted curved glass covering the both side and backside of aquarium. It does not have silicone gluing connection in the back corners, and you can make a wide layout expression. The sand-blasted glass makes a light diffusion effect when lighted from the back side. |
